Intramural Age Group Determination
Despite recent mandates by US Soccer to register and align travel players by birth year, FC Montco will continue to register intramural players using the legacy system that aligns with players' school grade levels.
This decision was made in consultation with other area clubs and the recreational leagues in which we participate. While the leadership of US Soccer may not see the benefits of kids playing with their school friends, we do. Particularly at the intramural level, we believe that keeping our kids playing alongside their friends will help foster a love of the game and keep them playing the game for longer.

For our intramural players, age groups are determined annually by a player's age as of August 1st, and the player remains in that age group until August 1st of the following year. For example, any child that turns 8 during the "soccer year" is considered to be U8 for the remainder of that year, up until July 31st.
