U15G Methacton United Force Advance to Quarterfinals

The U15G Methacton United Force advanced to the quarterfinals of the Pennsylvania State Challenge Cup this weekend with a shutout win over Lionville on Saturday and an exciting 3-3 tie with PA Classics Premier on Sunday.

On Saturday the Force were led by Madia Mazzucola who worked her way into the danger area when she was grabbed from behind and got a penalty called on Lionville, Madia took the PK and blasted it into the left side netting for the 1-0 win over Lionville. Goalkeepers Cara Marquardt and Allyson Frey teamed up for the shutout win behind the fierce Force defense featuring Izzy LeGendre, Morgan Richardson, Raelyn Lumley, Kaitlyn Porta, Danielle Hollidge and Katherine Jaworski.

On Sunday the Force needed a tie or a win to move on to the quarterfinals. They took a 2-0 lead over PA Classics into halftime on goals by Marissa Grasso and Madia Mazzucola. After the half PA Classics poured on the pressure and took a 3-2 lead. But Kiera Thomas told her coach before she went in, "We Got This" and the Force "literally" moved up the slanted field and got the ball to Kiera who slotted the game-tying goal to propel the Force on to the next round of the playoffs. Congratulations to the Force and keep it rolling!

March 6, 2017 -- U15G (2002) Methacton United Force won the Indoor JV Division at All Sports Center with a 2-1 Overtime victory over the U17G FC Providence Shockers. A sweet outlet pass from Defender Raelyn Lumley to Striker Kiera Thomas put Kiera in position to split the defense and she smoothly slotted the ball in for the victory. Striker Madia Mazzucola scored early the match with a solid strike to the far post on the first goal on a pass from Raelyn, who had two assists in the game. Keeper Cara Marquardt made some nice saves in the net and the entire Force squad played excellent defense in the win! Congrats to the girls on their solid playoff win and medal winning performance!

Force are PSC Labor Day Invitational Champions!

September 3, 2016 — Congratulations to our U15 Force girls, who went undefeated on their way to the Championship at the one-day PSC Labor Day Invitational.

The girls won their first game with a 6-0 win over Hammonton and then kept the defense rolling with another shutout 1-0 win over Concord.

In the finale, the Force tied Monroe 1-1, securing the win with the most points, the most goals scored, and the fewest goals allowed. The Force’s stingy defense only allowed a single goal over three games, while the offense racked up eight goals to win the six-team bracket.

Great work, girls!

On Sunday, the girls were Finals-bound after their 2-1 semifinal win over girlsCAN Football Academy of Connecticut! Lititz Summer Showcase 2015

July 26, 2015 — The Force girls came through on Sunday with a solid 3-1 win over the Harrisburg City Islanders Academy at the prestigious Lititz Summer Showcase Tournament.
